Helen found her way back into her love of writing and reading during her postgraduate years, as she struggled to find a sense of community and acceptance, and rediscover herself.  As such, Helen’s aim is to craft stories with queer characters that she hopes readers can see a bit of themselves in, whether they are striking a deal with a manipulative god, falling in love for the first (or second) time, or bravely embarking into the unknown, despite their fears.

Helen a part-time Creative Writing student, part-time creature of the wood. When she is not at her computer, Helen can be found sharing cappuccinos with Sasquatches in the rainforests near Olympia, Washington, or cuddled up on the couch with her spouse and her little furry demon (dog).

Helen is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, with a bachelor’s in international history. While at the academy, she served as assistant editor of the West Point Historical Review in 2019—a selection of papers and theses written by students from multiple universities.
